RMG Satellite Productions, Inc. is operated by Robert M. Gubar, President, and Kathy Gubar, Vice President. RMG specializes in production, direction and technical support for video productions including satellite teleconferencing, video news releases, distance learning, live special events for corporate clients, corporate video communications and sporting events. Bob has over 30 years of experience in broadcast and corporate video applications, earning a Bachelor of Arts degree in Medical Television in 1973 from UNC-Chapel Hill. Bob was senior director for the 6:00PM and 11:00PM News at WRAL-TV, Raleigh, NC during the 1980s. He also helped develop the North Carolina Agency for Public Telecommunications "OPEN/ Net" live weekly broadcast.
In 1987, Bob moved to the satellite production division of Capitol Broadcasting Corporation, and worked with various companies as Special Projects Producer for satellite communications. Bob's corporate production experience spans the last twenty years with freelance production, during which he has worked with many corporations in the Raleigh/RTP area, including GTE, IBM, Reichhold Chemicals and GlaxoSmithKline. Additionally, Bob has worked in freelance sports production for all the major networks since college, including the 1972 Olympic Games for ABC in Munich, Germany, the 1983 Pan American Games for CBS in Caracas, Venezuela, and the 1996 Atlanta Paralympic Games. Bob continues to work on sports events today for national sports producers like FOX Sports and ESPN.
Kathy earned a Bachelor of Music Education degree cum laude at UNC-Greensboro in 1975. She has over twenty years experience in video production, plus six years in audio production as a recording/mixing engineer in New York City. Kathy has worked in corporate video since 1981 at independent production companies, and also specializes in audio for video applications. Her primary interests are writing/producing, audio, live events production and videoconferencing. Bob and Kathy combine their talents of writing/production skills with live events direction, post production and editing toward a variety of video production applications. This combination of talents provides a special insight to projects they produce, which helps insure their clients receive the best production possible for their investment.
